  • 2. The review and acceptance of manuscripts shall be governed by these Regulations.
  • 3. Only nursing research reports and original articles that reflect current trends in nursing and have scholarly value shall be subject to review.
  • 4. Manuscripts that do not comply with the eligibility requirements for submission or the Instructions for Authors shall not be accepted.
  • 5. Two reviewers shall be assigned to each manuscript, and the reviewers shall be appointed by the Editorial Board.

  • 7. Manuscripts shall be reviewed in accordance with the standard evaluation forms applicable to each type of study, including review articles, quantitative studies, qualitative studies, concept analyses, Q-methodological studies, and meta-analyses.
  • 8. The manuscript review process shall be as follows:
    • 1) Upon submission, the Editorial Board shall first review the author’s eligibility and determine whether the manuscript complies with the Journal’s Submission Regulations and the Instructions for Authors. The author shall then be notified by the Editor-in-Chief that the manuscript has been received.
    • 2) For each submitted manuscript, the Editorial Board shall appoint two reviewers whose expertise is appropriate to the main subject of the manuscript.
    • 3) Reviewers who accept the invitation to review shall evaluate the manuscript within two weeks of accepting the invitation and submit their review results to the Editorial Board. Reviewers shall strictly assess whether the manuscript complies with the Submission Regulations. The review results shall include a review evaluation form, comments on the manuscript, and recommendations for revision.
    • 4) The two reviewers shall evaluate the submitted manuscript independently.
    • 5) Reviewers shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding both the fact that they have reviewed the manuscript and all matters related to the manuscript under review.
  • 9. Reviewers shall provide an overall evaluation and detailed comments in their review reports and shall make one of the following recommendations: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.
    • 1) Accept: The manuscript shall proceed to editorial review.
    • 2) Minor revision: The author shall revise the manuscript in accordance with the reviewers’ comments, after which the manuscript shall proceed to editorial review.
    • 3) Major revision: The author shall revise the manuscript in accordance with the reviewers’ comments, and the revised manuscript shall be re-evaluated by the reviewer(s).

      • ① The research topic lacks originality or nursing significance.
      • ② The manuscript plagiarizes the content of another person’s previously published work.
  • 10. If one of the two reviewers recommends rejection, the manuscript shall be referred to a third reviewer for further evaluation. If the third reviewer recommends acceptance, minor revision, or major revision, the review process shall proceed accordingly. If the third reviewer recommends rejection, the manuscript shall be finally rejected.
  • 11. Once the final revised manuscript has been submitted, an editor designated by the Editor-in-Chief shall review whether the manuscript has been revised faithfully in accordance with the reviewers’ comments, the Submission Regulations, and the Instructions for Authors. If the revision is found to be insufficient, publication shall be withheld and the author shall be requested to revise the manuscript again.
